Shafaq News / The  Russian deputy Minister of Health, Oleg Gridnev has revealed today that the first vaccine against Coronavirus, which was made by Gamali Center, will be given to doctors and the medical staffs working to confront the virus, meanwhile the preparation to vaccinate elderly persons is underway.

Gridnev told the Russian Sputnik agency that "the vaccine will be registered on August 12, and today we are in the final stage. We must be sure that the vaccine must be safe".

Gridnev indicated that “It will be possible to assess the effectiveness of the vaccine when the infected people become immune”.

Earlier, The Federal Service for the Oversight of Consumer Protection and Welfare had announced that 26 types of vaccine had been developed, based on the experiences of 17 scientific organizations. Adding that one vaccine developed by the Gamali Center had undergone clinical trials on volunteers. While, The Vector Institute is developing a vaccine on six different technological platforms.

The first vaccine will be launched in September, and the second in October of this year.
