Lebanese officials put under house arrest

Shafaq News / The Lebanese government have decided today to put all officials at the Port of Beirut under house arrest until determining who is guilty.

According to New tv, a Lebanese broadcaster, the Minister of Displaced People Ghada Shreim said “The house arrest will include those who took part in the storage, guarding and investigating of warehouse 12 from 2014 until 4 August 2020”

“Some officers will stay in their homes until the end of the investigation in five days”, she said, according to New TV.

Moreover, the Lebanese government adopted the declaration of a state of emergency.

Yesterday, a violent explosion rocked the port of Beirut causing a great damage, and a large number of victims.
