Erbil records new Covid-19 death
Shafaq News / A man in his 50s died on Saturday due to being infected with Corona virus (Covid-19), according to the Ministry of Health of Kurdistan Regional Government (KRG) .
“The man who is a resident of Kamran City in Erbil died after he was hospitalized and had the support of a ventilator in the intensive care department , “KRG Ministry of Health statement read .
This brings the number of deaths of Covid-19 in Kurdistan Region since the outbreak of the pandemic to 19 deaths, according to the ministry.
The Ministry announced Friday that 29 new cases of Covid-19 were registered in the capital, Erbil.
Regarding that the statement outlined the total number of people infected with the virus since the outbreak of COVID-19 in the region and so far with 1015 confirmed infection cases, including 18 deaths and the recovery of 444 others, while 555 are still under medical care.
