Erbil prohibits Eid prayers and visiting graves

Shafaq News / Erbil Operations Room to confront Covid-19 issued, on Wednesday, a series of decisions and recommendations for Eid Al-Adha days, including a ban on holding Eid prayers and visiting graves.


A statement issued by the room, received by Shafaq News agency, said that it had held a meeting under the supervision of the governor of Erbil, Firsat Sofi.


The meeting decided to emphasize compliance with the decisions and recommendations of statement No. 44 of the Ministry of Interior in Kurdistan Regional Government and demands citizens of the governorate to avoid visits, contacts, and any sort of gatherings on the holidays, including Eid prayers. 



The statement stressed that visiting graves, as well as condolence (halls, homes, and tents) and wedding assemblies are prohibited. Besides, party halls, sheesha centers, gyms, swimming pools, night clubs, and spas will also be closed in the same period.
