Two missiles land in Baghdad airport

Shafaq News / A security source said that two Katyusha missiles landed on Baghdad International Airport on Thursday, in a sequence of attacks targeting mainly a camp at the airport that houses American diplomats and soldiers.

The source told Shafaq News agency that two Katyusha missiles launched by unknown parties landed in the vicinity of Baghdad International Airport.

No further details disclosed so far.

Baghdad airport and other locations, including the US embassy and military bases that house US troops and diplomats, have been the target of frequent missile attacks since last year.

The government of Prime Minister Mustafa Al-Kadhimi pledged to end the attacks and pursue the parties behind them. However, these events continue to occur, with an increasing frequency recently.
