Gold stabilizes in Baghdad, Erbil

Shafaq News / Gold prices, both foreign and Iraqi, remained stable in the local markets of the capital city Baghdad and Erbil, the capital of the Kurdistan Region, on Tuesday.

According Shafaq News Agency’s correspondent, the wholesale gold prices on Al-Nahr Street in Baghdad recorded a selling price of 404,000 Iraqi dinars and a buying price of 400,000 dinars per mithqal (a unit of weight for gold, equivalent to approximately 4.25 grams) for 21-carat Gulf, Turkish, and European gold.

Our correspondent noted that the selling price of one mithqal of 21-carat Iraqi gold was 374,000 dinars, with a buying price of 370,000 dinars.

As for individual gold prices in jewellery stores, the selling price for 21-carat Gulf gold ranged between 405,000 dinars and 415,000 dinars, while the selling price for 21-carat Iraqi gold ranged between 375,000 dinars and 385,000 dinars.

In Erbil, gold prices also remained stable. The selling price for 24-carat gold was 518,000 dinars, 21-carat gold was sold at 459,000 dinars, and 18-carat gold was sold at 398,000 dinars.

It's worth noting that one mithqal of gold equals five grams.
