Officials and experts discuss the application of federations and regions in a joint workshop in the Kurdish house
Shafaq News/ The Kurdish House, held Saturday, in cooperation with the Forum of Trustees for Strategic Studies, at the Foundation Shafaq of culture and media Hall, a seminar entitled "The federations and regions .. solution or problem?", Attended by a gathering of professionals, academics and administrators, and the public that have interests.
The seminar was opened by President of the Forum for Strategic Studies of Trustees Haider Alawda, who gave a speech in which he talked about the "failure" made in public education the big changes that took place after 2003, particularly with regard to the subject of federal and provincial.
"The topic was circulated among the political elites, while entrenched in the mind of the citizen negative concept of federalism has been to highlight the positive side," adding that "negative education to make a citizen's idea of negative placed provinces and even democracy."
Researcher Ahmed Nasser delivered a study entitled "The rationale for the establishment of federalism in Iraq," which he said "can not establish a federal unless we provide the right environment has and is the social base and the legal political dress and," adding, " The legal garment should not be loose hurting community character and not be narrow to prevent freedom of the people. "

He focused on the economic rationale for federal, referring to the strong economic ties since ancient times between Kurdistan and the central and southern Iraq while the "weak links with the Turkish side and the Iranian side also discussed the rationale for the federal Geographic.
