The position about Asa’ib Alhaq the "League of the Righteous" blow differences in the Shi’ite House

Shafaq News/ The sudden announcement for the "League of the Righteous," renouncing the use of arms, and the intention to participate in the political process  caused multiple repercussions, as some of the leaders of the National Alliance rejected, their involvement in the political process, while others supported it  counting it as a positive development in the work of the movement, and the overall joints of the political process. In this regard, the Sadrist leader Moqtada al-Sadr described the   "League of the Righteous" group as "lovers of the chairs" and the "Group of the killers have who have no religion."He said in a statement in response to a question by one of his supporters for his opinion on the desire of "League of the righteous " to participate in the political process, " Did not I tell you  that, they are lovers of chairs?" He said, adding, "They are killers and they have no religion or devout, and those who follow them are like them . Their money but shattered and they are only a number that will be removed. "

But al-Sadr said in a statement welcoming the announcement of some members of the "League of the Righteous," recently of "disavowal  of the acts of the latter."

It is said that the League of the Righteous in Iraq, announced itself as a resistance movement of the U.S. presence in Iraq, which began in April 2003. It was  founded by Mohammad Tabataba’i and Qais Khaza’ali and Akram Al Ka’abi, with a number of men and the followers of the Religious School ,those who reject the foreign presence . They started this movement to work in classified groups in 2004 , and sources say its approach and principles are derived from the mind of the religious authority, Mohammed Mohammed Sadiq al-Sadr, who was assassinated in 1999.

The cleric Moqtada al-Sadr have accused the "League of the Righteous " group of killing  politicians and members of the Iraqi army and police, urging Iran to halt support for this group.

The Sadrist movement led by Moqtada al-Sadr, confirms that  the League of the Righteous entering  in the political process will not affect the movement "never", while indicating that the approved reference of the movement Kadhim Ha’iri, "disavowed " from the League of the Righteous in more than one occasion "because of their actions."

MP Amir Kanani said  in an interview with "Shafaq  News" that "No fears of splits in the Sadrist movement in the event of League of the righteous  to enter the political process, because of the ideological affiliation of the movement , and its association with clear terms of well-known." reference .

At the level of Alasa’ib itself one of the close figures to the movement has announced that its members resisted the Alasa’ib the U.S. "occupation," and their hands are not stained with the blood of Iraqis, stressing that their  joining  the political process, is one the "the positives in the current stage."

American officials say that Iran is spending five million dollars a month on the League of the Righteous along with equipment and weapons, confirming that Alasa’ib previously promised to leave the arms but they did not fulfill that promise.

A source who is close to the League of the Righteous said in the report published by the American press and had been seen by  "Shafaq  News" "The group consists of nearly thousand armed men, but their followers are many and depend on the funding comes to them from Iran, including nearly five million dollars a month paid in cash in addition to the guns."

The report quotes from a Western diplomat, familiar with the details of the investigation with the leader of Alasa’ib Qais Khaza’ali when he was detained by U.S. forces in 2009, "Khaza’ali was telling us when we were investigating him they were ready to lay down their arms , so we freed the men (of the League of the Righteous), but they returned to Iran and they did not lay down their arms. "

Another diplomat familiar with the negotiations between Maliki and Alasa’ib in answer to the purpose of the appearance of this case following the U.S. withdrawal, "Maliki has kept this thing within the context of the withdrawal to be able to pave the way for them to get them out of the armed conflict."

A U.S. high level military official confirms that the " Their hands are stained with blood which is not only the blood of the U.S. I am always with the tolerance and reconciliation, but they are always loyal to their leaders in Iran and will remain so."

According to Deputy Director, of  the Center of War Studies in Washington and expert on issues of League of the Righteous Marissa Kogran Sullivan, said “Maliki was keen to work with this group and it is not a good sign. It is responsible for the deaths of many Americans, and if they have  major role in  the government it will not be in the interest of the United States" .

It is Indicated that the League of the Righteous has launched several accurate  attacks on the American soldiers in Iraq and some believe that these attacks are counter-attacks from the hidden door between Iran and the United States.

Haider Abadi reflects the position of the bloc of law state in an interview, by saying , " The League of the righteous entering to the political process or not, to is determined by the Iraqi constitution," explaining that "if the group was described terrorism and the killing of citizens are not allowed to enter the political process, but if was carrying arms and gave him and did not kill people, it is possible to enter. "

Abadi added that "This case is not determined by the states, but is resolved between us, pointing out that a coalition of law state did not discuss because these are legal and constitutional issues not from the opinion of blocs."

And on the National Conference to be held, the group announced that it "will not participate in the national conference to resolve the current political crisis and to be held in Baghdad in the coming days."

One of the Alasa’ib leaders Abu Abbas Faihan said  "League of the Righteous will not participate in the national conference to be held in Baghdad between the political parties if their participation cause political crisis."

He concludes by saying that the "League of the Righteous believes that Iraq after the U.S. withdrawal has to be peaceful and away from the problems and the dialogue is the only way to solve problems."

The relationship between the Sadrists and the League witnessed  tension, especially after the confirmation of the movement in several forums that it is not related to the organization. The Iraqi authorities freed the commander of the League of the Righteous Khazali with a large number of members of his organization after they had

released the British abducted technician and three bodies of the crew, as the U.S. military has accused Tehran of supporting the three armed Shiite factions, the League of the Righteous, and the Hezbollah Brigades, and the Promised Day Brigade, led by Moqtada al-Sadr.
