“Environmental Corruption” threats visitors of Imam Hussein and warnings from the inhalation of air

 

Shafaq News/ Fears of environmental pollution in Iraq, interact especially with the absence of any government role to follow up on environmental issues that violated by acts that dangerous trend is the lack of a sense of responsibility and disregard for people's lives starting, throwing hospital waste in the waters of rivers, not ending with the throwing hazardous chemicals in the water and polluting it .The Ministry of Environment, revealed that pollution of the waters of Husseiniya in the province of Karbala, with hazardous chemical materials, warning visitors of Imam Hussein of exposure to the materials causing cancer from airborne dirt from the berms surrounding the river.According to Deputy Minister of Environment, Kamal Hussein who said to "Shafaq  News", "the province of Karbala, transferred large quantities of soil contaminated with chemicals from the site of Afath Almubeen” for the purpose of maintenance of River Husseiniya shoulders,"The Director General of the General Authority for maintenance of irrigation and drainage projects Gani Razzak Dikhil  had said earlier, the Ministry of Science and Technology has confirmed the absence of any contamination in the soil in the facility opening set.

Hussein explains that "the Director of Karbala Environment was pressured by the province to issue  the approval for the transfer of soil from the site of Alfath Almubeen to Husseiniya River."

" Parliamentary Committee on Health and the Environment host the Minister of Environment after the resumption of the meetings of the House of Representatives in the 03/01/2012, in order to clarify the validity of the information about the pollution of the Husseiniya River with dangerous chemical agents materials." The member of the Parliamentary Committee on Health and the Environment Salih Hasnawi said to "Shafaq  News".
