Specialists and academics criticize the government departments dealing with the applicants of the Faily Kurds and demanding the implementation of laws issued for them

Shafaq News/ Specialists discussed at a seminar held by the House of the Faily Kurds the problems concerning Kurdish rights, which was confiscated by the previous regime , and problems concerning obstacles they face during their applying to the government institutions

concerned.Attended the seminar which was held in the building of Shafaq  institution, under the title "The issue of Faily Kurds in the area of human rights". A  consultant in the Office of the Prime Minister and  a  member of the National Alliance Bushra Zwaini , and a professor in the College of Education / University of Baghdad, Athmar Dagher, with  a gathering of specialists of Faily Kurds issues and intellectuals.Zwaini praised those who hold the seminar because they "had invited two Arab characters to talk about Faily Kurds Affairs," she said, adding that this "most wonderful thing indicates the patriotism that is enjoyed by the Faily Kurds."Zwaini said that Faily Kurds were subjected to exclusion, deportation, confiscation of their money because of "their nationalism on one hand and their beliefs on the other," pointing out that they made up 9% of the total Iraqi people and noted the contribution of Faily Kurds in the Iraqi opposition against the former regime and their support to the Islamist parties and leftist .Zwaini criticized, the competent authorities to deal with the issue of Faily Kurds, after the fall of the former regime "after the fall of the dictatorial regime  they have not got their rights to this day."

She criticized the performance of government agencies, with respect to Faily Kurds applicants  to them , " The laws of the dissolved Revolution Command Council have been cancelled , including the confiscation of nationality of Faily Kurds and the money transferring , and in fact, all decisions of the former regime were canceled, but the laws that have been canceled are still working , including issues relating to Iraqi nationality, "emphasizing the need" to take political decisions and correct to re-full citizenship for Faily Kurds and restore their confiscated properties  or compensating. "

"It is said that 250 thousand refugees from the Faily Kurds now reside in other countries, including Iran and they are waiting rehabilitation for those whose Iraqi citizenship had been dropped," and demanded "the abolition of Iraqi nationality certificate and the issuance of new documents that do not distinguish between citizens and celebrating the citizenship."

The professor in the College of Education / for girls University of Baghdad, Athmar Dagher, talked about the social aspect in the case of the Faily Kurds touching the suffering of one Faily Kurdish family from her neighbors, who  came back after the displacement in the time of the former regime . She said "after the displacement they returned, but they clashed with the obstacles of the new regime and administrative corruption . She demanded the new regime do justice to Faily Kurds . "
