Shafaq News/ Secretary of the branch of the Kurdistan Syndicate of Journalists in Baghdad, demanded on Saturday, Union of the Region to have a new reading of the status of its branch in the capital, stressing that 20% of the members of the main branch are from outside the region. Ali Hussein ,Faily said  in a speech at a seminar held by the Union of Journalists of the Kurdistan branch in Baghdad under the slogan (Journalists Association of Kurdistan between reality and ambition ,Baghdad branch is  a model) attended by "Shafaq  News", "one of the biggest obstacles and problems that face Journalists Association of Kurdistan branch in Baghdad, is in the forming of its administrative body and the permanent members being absent , and we can not work under those facts. "

"Journalists Association of Kurdistan Baghdad branch had its evident presence in the capital, through seminars and events that took place recently," noting that "20% of the members of the Syndicate of Journalists of Kurdistan are from outside the region, but they have so far not received any of the rights of the main branch ". He added.
Faily called the Kurdistan Syndicate of Journalists to have a new reading of the conditions of its branch in Baghdad, because of the need to understand the situation we are exposed to in Baghdad, and that in turn to provide them with the capabilities. "

"in case that the main Union is unable to offer the solution to the problems that we face, we  demand  for the formation of the Association of Journalists for the Kurds outside the region." Said he .
At the same time , it is announced that the branch of the Kurdistan Syndicate of Journalists in Baghdad,  to send some members to the region to continue with the main branch and put the worries and problems they face, and to claim their rights and get them like the rest of their fellow journalists in the region.
The symposium witnessed  presentations by the members of the Syndicate of Journalists of the Kurdistan branch of Baghdad, where they demanded the unification of views towards the activation of trade union action inside the branch, and the emphasis on the claim of rights, while they praised the role of the "Shafaq " institution of the culture and the media for the Faily Kurds, emphasizing the need for the Kurds outside the region for their efforts in preserving their heritage.

The Kurdistan Journalists Syndicate Baghdad branch was formed after the founding conference of Kurdistan Journalists Syndicate in 2005, and it held the founding conference, of  the branch in the spring of the same year with the participation of all Kurdish  journalists working in the media in Baghdad.
