Parliamentary Integrity body accuses al-Maliki not to be serious and to harbor the corrupters

Shafaq News/ The  parliamentary integrity committee accused, Prime Minister Nuri al-Maliki to "misprision of a number of corruptors ," and not serious in the fight against corruption, saying that it was subjected to the "big"  pressures by most of the political blocs to close the files associated official corruption.
The reporter of the Parliamentary Integrity Commission, Khalid al-Alwani said  to "Shafaq  News" that "the prime minister to harbor over many of the corrupters and he is not serious in fighting corruption."
It is said that the former Chairman of the Integrity committee  Rahim Ugaili explained in a letter to the parliamentary Integrity Commission, the reasons behind his resignation in earlier time , and the content of the message says that Ugaili abandoned  his post in response to the request of Prime Minister Nuri al-Maliki, who had asked him to resign in one of television interviews to give the opportunity for a person who is capable to fight corruption according to the  words of the message.
In referring to the issue of corruption in the Municipality of Baghdad said al-Alwani, that "the Secretary of Baghdad launched an extensive campaign in which he accused a number of members of the Parliamentary Integrity Commission that they  biased against him and discredited him, at the time the integrity representative revealed of the existence of corruption in the Secretariat , but they did not accuse the Secretary of Baghdad himself ."
Alwani said that the "Integrity Committee in the House of Representatives is under great pressure from most of the political blocs to close the files associated official corruption."
The head of parliament Osama Nujaifi said  on last April 18, during a press conference held at the headquarters of the House of Representatives, that  the parliament is following the corruption files accurately and decisively and with credibility .It  has formed several committees to investigate the contracts of the ministries of trade and electricity, and the flight of the prisoners in Basra and the subject of rotten oil.
