Shafaq News Kuwaiti Deputy Prime Minister counted on Sunday, the threats issued by armed groups targeting Mubarak port opposite to the Iraqi borders as "cacophony", and while pointing out that these threats are targeting his country and Iraq, as well and returning  the memory of Iraq of treachery and regional threat ,he  confirmed the continuation of Kuwait in building the project.

"Kuwait has provided much support for the new Iraq, and has  embraced Iraq to bring it back to its remarkable place in its Arab and regional levels .So the threats and the cacophony produced by some groups in Iraq constitute a threat to Kuwait only, as far as a threat to Iraq itself. " Mohammed Al-Sabah said in statements to the reporters .

"We have confidence in our ability and the ability of our children, who have devoted themselves to protecting the country from any attack, whether by sea, or land, and these statements return Iraq to Saddam Hussein's Iraq, Iraq of threat  and of regional treachery." He added.

Alsabah said Kuwait did not wait for any decisions from the Iraqi side on the port project of Mubarak, "We continue to build it, because it is an absolute right of Kuwait, and it does not hinder navigation .So we hope to hear a decision from the Iraqi side on the port of Faw, and we welcome it because it complements the Mubarak Port ".Said he

The State of Kuwait has announced the start of  establishing  Mubarak port project, on the sixth of last April, exactly a year after Iraq's declaration of its intention to build the port of Faw.

The Iraqi government formally asked the Kuwaiti counterpart to postpone construction of Mubarak port on the Kuwaiti island of Bubiyan and overlooking the waterway shared with Iraq while making sure not to impact on the rights of Iraq in the shared waters. But the later  rejected the recent demand counting it as illegal.

Unidentified gunmen fired three missiles last Friday, from within Iraqi territory on the Mubarak port project building in the Kuwaiti island of Bubiyan.
