by its leader Muqtada al-Sadr after Eid al-Fitr is not intended to topple the government, but to correct the track and detect corruption and the corruptors  in the "State of Iraq," stressing that demonstrations, is  a democratic and civilized  practice that contribute in the success of the political process.

"The demonstrations called by Muqtada al-Sadr to, after Eid al-Fitr aim to uncover corruption and the corrupters in the Iraqi state, and express the Iraqis protest against poor services and the failure of officials to fulfill their promises." The MP from the Sadr movement Zainab Alsahlani said in an interview with (Shafaq News)

The cleric Moqtada al-Sadr called, earlier for,  millionic demonstrations in all governorates and cities of Iraq after the Eid holiday to demand better services,  after the expiration of a period of six months granted by the power of the government, reminding the government, of  the fate of the Arab rulers whose peoples  rose up on them and toppled them, in Tunisia and Egypt and Libya.

Iraq has been witnessing demonstrations since 25 February, around the country calling for reform and change and the eradication of rampant corruption in the joints of the state, organized by social society organizations and  young university students and independent intellectuals through social networking sites on the Internet. Meanwhile the call  for the demonstrations in all governorates  are still escalating  until the achievement of services in full .
