Faily Kurds in Diyala were subjected to genocide in the past and now they are suffering the same fate

said  that the Faily Kurds in Diayala governorate , were subjected to genocide during the former regime, and now they are suffering  the same fate at the hands of the armed groups.

The MP Hamid Adel Baffy said in an interview with (Shafaq  News) that "A  large section  of the Faily Kurds were and still live in the disputed areas in Diayala governorate , and they were subjected to a campaign of displacement and genocide during the former regime and now they suffer the same fate," explaining "The government has not  compensated them for the physical and moral damage they have suffered from."

The Kurds in Diayala governorate , officials stressed in previous statements to (Shafaq News) that hundreds of Kurdish families have been displaced from areas of Jalawla and Sa'adia subsidiaries of Khanaqin after being subjected to armed attacks that caused the killing and wounding dozens.

Baffy said  "There is an urgent need for the deployment of the Peshmerga forces in the disputed areas to prevent the ethnic cleansing suffered by the Kurds at the hands of armed groups, especially in the basin Hamrin which are the areas of Jalawla Sa'adia and Qaratapa,"
