of Kurdistan, Barham Salih, arrived this afternoon in the city of Khanaqin, and met with leaders of security agencies and local government officials, on an unannounced visit.

The source, who asked not to be named said to (Shafaq News) that "The head of the Kurdistan Regional Government and the Deputy Secretary General of the Patriotic Union of Kurdistan, Barham Saleh, in a surprise move, he made an unannounced visit to the city of Khanaqin, just before noon on Wednesday,"

"Saleh held  a closed meeting with security chiefs and local officials in the local administration of Khanaqin." He added.

"The meeting was held away from the media, that were requested to evacuate the meeting room," The source explained, adding that " Saleh did not say anything about the significance of the meeting or its results."

"In the framework of this visit, the President of the Government of the region opened a primary school with 18 classrooms in (Alamdar) area in Khanaqin which was built at a cost of one billion and eight hundred thousand Iraqi dinars." said the source .
