and the western area , Christians in turn to call to establish a region for them to ensure their rights and freedoms, stressing that this matter is a concern that has been and still haunted, but an MP of the Iraqia coalition rejected  this proposal and considered it as to be illegal.
The MP  of the bloc of the Chaldean People's Syrian Assyrian Luis Carlo in an interview with Shafaq "The area in which the Christians claimed, the establishment of the region is the Nineveh Plain," pointing out that "The political conflict in the country continuously has led to mobilize the masses to demand the formation of Regions and Governorates for some religions and sects and creeds. "
The article 125 of Iraqi constitution provides to ensure the administrative, political, cultural and educational rights  for the various nationalities such as , Turkmen, Chaldean, Assyrians, and other components, and this shall be regulated by law.
