The general director of the National Centre for Studies and Research in the Iraqi Ministry of Labor and Social Affairs Kadhim Shamkhi said that "Estimates of the unemployment in Iraq, came up to 16%, within about four to five million unemployed. "
The official was speaking on the sidelines of social dialogue meeting which was chaired by Iraq in the Arab Labor Conference in Cairo.
The Iraqi Ministry of Planning had announced earlier this year that about 15 percent of Iraq's population is suffered from unemployment
