The member of the former parliament and the official of the office of Kurdish Arabic relations in Baghdad, Abdul-Khaliq Zangana gave a lecture in which he reviewed the beginning of the history of the  Kurdish Arabic relations in the past decades, noting that "There is a common struggle between the two Kurdish and Arab peoples  for the liberation from colonialism, especially during the Ottoman and British occupations.

Zangana said  that "The Kurds supported their fellow Arabs in their revolutions , especially in the revolution of the nineteen twentieth, but they did not find the same support from the Arabs during the revolution of the martyr Mahmoud Al hafeed ," explaining that "The Kurds are loyal by nature, to those who support the issues of peoples struggling for their freedom and for achieving  the demands of their masses."
Zangana laid the blame on "Some politicians from both parties, in addition to the media and clans." for the case of recent "recession" taking place in Kurdish Arab relations."

The interventions by the audience stressed that the Kurds have contributed significantly to the overthrow of the dictatorial regime and prepared the positive atmosphere in the conflict between the Arab political parties, but the response of Arab politicians towards the issues of the Kurds was not as hoped from them, calling to strengthen and consolidate Kurdish, Arab ties of brotherhood on various official and popular levels.
