Political forces are unanimous on limiting arms possession to the State
Shafaq Ahmed Abyadh the activist and political analyst, said in an interview with Shafaq that…
"Political forces, regardless of ideology and ideas are unanimous on the need of arms possession being limited to the state ", stressing that Iraqi society would support this approach to build a civilized state. "
He added that the "The calling for this issue, comes at a time when U.S. forces are preparing either to withdraw or extend their limited remaining on Iraqi land , and thus the pretexts which were given for the arms possession under the title of (opposition ) will end."
He added: "We must issue the law of limiting arms possession to the state, to be parallel to the law of parties, which must be national and political Iraqi parties, in a sense that they have their tools and political resources from Iraq, because it is not reasonable that the parties own militias and weapons."
