that this session will be different from its predecessor, in passing of many vital and important laws that the current council inherited from its predecessor.
As confirmed by the observers, the law of parties is one of the important laws that the House of Representatives should speed up the approval.
Furthermore the MP from the Liberal Bloc and the member of the legal parliamentary committee  Mushriq Naji asserted that , "The Legal Committee is  engaged at the present time to study a proposal made by the Council of Representatives for enactment of the parties law and the Legal Committee ,had  previously discussed the draft of that law submitted by the government."
According to the constitution the first paragraph of Article 39 mentioned the freedom of associations and political parties establishment , and that article ensures the right of joining them, and this is to be organized by law.
For his part, Secretary General of the Iraqi Liberal Party Hadi al-Maliki said in an interview with Shafaq "The draft bill of the parties law  submitted by the government to the House of Representatives contains a lot of materials that limit the freedom of party work, "adding," It is strange in this draft law that it imposes many restrictions that make the party work difficult if not impossible. "
The obstacles included in the bill to be passed, is its assertion on the number of party members to be at least 2000 members, "saying" And they must bring a copy of their register in the identity department  with the rest of other supporting  documents   to be submitted to the Ministry of Justice. "
And on the importance of the law of parties in the current stage, Maliki said: "We desperately need a law to organize party work, but this law must be in conformity with the spirit of democracy and its traditions."
