Kurdish Press outside the region adopts defensive approach only

Shafaq Ala'a Mandalawi secretary editor of 'Alta'akhi" daily stressed in an interview with Shafaq that…

" Kurdish press  follows  a defensive approach only, and we do not have the direct media  which sheds light on many issues," adding that "Some of the topics may be very general, but the Kurdish media  is unaware of it."
"We believe that there are many Arab newspapers that cares for the Faily Kurds calling for redress and rehabilitation of them, while Kurdish newspapers outside the region pay no attention to this issue," noting that "The Kurdish media outside the region is weak for several reasons the most important of which is  that we are only importers not exporters of the media. " adding  that "Newspapers in Iraq are  more than 250 newspapers and magazines, while the Kurdish media outside the region is so much  limited."
