Shakir Kattab said in an interview with Shafaq "The ball is now in the court of Iraq, specifically the Iraqi Foreign Ministry, and they need to move towards the restoration of the cracking of the relations between us and our brothers in the Gulf in order to achieve the success of the next Arab summit."
He added that "Iraq is invited to repair its relations with the Arabs, and we must take the initiative and move towards the Arab League," noting that " In case of Gulf states boycotting the Summit, in addition to the failure of Egypt and Libya's attending to it ,the  attendance level at the summit will be (very little). This might prevent the success of the Summit and our efforts of creating its success will go in vain, and the results will be very weak, "as he put it.
