that the holiday will begin in all government departments and institutions with effect from Thursday until next Monday.

Dr. Kawa Mahmoud the spokesperson on behalf of the Kurdistan Regional Government in a press statement congratulated all Muslims in the region of Kurdistan and Iraq and the world, saying: on the occasion of the advent of Eid al-Fitr, the official holiday starts in all government departments and institutions with effect from Thursday until next Monday (i.e., 5 days).

He stressed that the regular work day in all government departments and institutions in the Kurdistan Region will begin next Tuesday.

He also said: The Feast is a social and appropriate religious occasion, and the purpose of the resolution is to unite holiday vacation in the whole of Iraq, for the benefit of people and to provide an opportunity for the exchange of visits among themselves, especially those coming from central and southern Iraq to visit the Kurdistan Region

As, Dr.Kawa Mahmoud expected a large number of residents in the center and south will influx to the Kurdistan Region during the holiday.
