Kurdistani Markets witnesses prices rise with the approaching of the Eid-al-Fitr

Main commercial markets in Erbil governorate, the capital of Kurdistan region witnesses …

a remarkable rise in prices, with the approach of Eid al-Fitr, , particularly prices of clothing.

Shavnem Salah (women shopper) says:"the shops offer expensive clothing as a whole with the approaching day of the Feast, but we are forced to buy them with the other requirements of the occasion.

For his part, Canaan Kaya the owner of seven shops of dresses in Dohuk, Sulaymaniyah and Erbil says: "Our Company has cuts in the prices of clothing for men, women and children on the occasion of Eid al-Fitr," pointing out that "the level of preparations in this holiday are the best during the recent years".

Kaya added: "the percentage of the sale was good to have exceeded the 70% in our stores, especially children's clothing."

Joda Ja'afar a university professor in Irbil explained:"prices are generally moving upward, so it requires the Government to play an important role, as the bulk is the responsibility of the Control of Trade as the body responsible to stop this phenomenon.
