Oil Ministry reveals the project of establishing 24 storage tanks with a capacity of 350 thousand barrels
Shafaq News/ The Ministry of Oil, announced on Wednesday, the establishment of 24 oil tanks each of which can hold 350 thousand barrels, indicating that it is about to establish four floating platforms which have export capacity of 850 thousand barrels each day.
"The oil ministry and within its plan to increase the export capacity of Iraq's oil plans to establish 24 oil tanks each of which can hold 350 thousand barrels." The oil ministry spokesman Assim Jihad said, to "Shafaq News",
Iraq seeks through the development of oil fields and presented to the international companies, to access the production rate of at least 11 million barrels of crude oil per day within the next six years, to 12 million barrels per day after the addition of the quantities of national effort from other fields.,
"The coming days will witness the establishment of 4 floating platforms on the southern ports and export capacity 850 thousand barrels per day for each platform." Jihad added.
Sources in the Ministry of Oil have shown, earlier, Iraq is expected to start exporting oil from the new port in the Gulf within ten days after the end of the postponement of the opening of the link and test tubes.
Iraq currently produces about three million barrels per day while exported averaged 2.165 million barrels per day last year, according to data of marketing company of Iraqi oil "Sumo."
