Shafaq News/ Head of journalists in Kurdistan, said Sunday, on the instructions issued by the Ministry of Finance in the Government of the Region on the calculation of service journalist for the purposes of retirement only is "contrary to law", as well as it deprives journalists of their rights, while calling for cancellation of such instructions, warning of the adoption of legal action against the Ministry of Finance.
Azad Mohammed Amin, said in a statement singled out the "Shafaq  News" that "Article 19 of the Law of the second paragraph of the Law Union of Journalists of the Kurdistan stipulates that a journalist who is employed in one of the government departments, the service that he spent in his field of journalism is calculated for purposes of retirement and bonus and promotion," adding that "in previous years has not faced any problem in applying this law."
, Amin said, "financial instructions where two systems: horizontal and vertical, and the Ministry has suspended the rules of the horizontal and vertical work system in the event of the appointment of a journalist in a government department."
The secretary said that "the union has sent a letter to the Parliament of Kurdistan as a control body to implement the laws," asserting that "the attitude of Parliament was in favor of our view."
The Ministry of Finance of the Kurdistan Regional Government has recently decided to stop the calculation of the press service for the purposes of service and allowances, promotion. It calculates  it only for the purposes of retirement, which   made resentment among journalists and media people.
