Shafaaq News/ The MP of the Iraqia List, Khalid al-Alwani, said in an interview with "Shafaq News" "The House of Representatives approved about the formation of a parliamentary committee comprising of members from all political blocs will follow up the investigation in the case of Vice President Tariq al-Hashimi
and make sure if it was politicized or not," He pointed out that "the Commission will ask the Supreme Judicial Council, about the reasons for the reluctance to transfer the case to the province of Kirkuk."The Supreme Judicial Council announced last week, the rejection of the request to transfer Hashemi case and individuals of his protection from Baghdad to Kirkuk, saying to keep the case in Baghdad, having considered the General Assembly in the Court of Cassation, consisting of 19 judges from senior judges to his application.
Alwani said that "the Commission will not interfere with the functioning of justice being formed to follow up on investigative files and ensure safety," stressing that "the Commission will start work in the coming days."
He said that "the Commission will submit its work after the completion of its final report to the House of Representatives to inform the Council on the results of the investigation."
It was scheduled that the Baghdad Operations Command, to present on Thursday, second confessions of another set of protections personnel, of Vice President Tariq al-Hashemi, but it announced the postponement of the confessions to complete the proceedings.
