Iraqi Christians fear the return of the manner of targeting of minorities in the country

Shafaq News/ The MP for the Christian community, expressed on Wednesday, fears of the return of armed groups to target communities and religious minorities in the country, accusing outsiders of being behind the deteriorating security situation in the country. The member of the House of Representatives for the Christian community Luis Caro said  in an interview with "Shafaq  News" that "targeting  the weakest rings in the Iraqi society and of religious and ethnic minorities by armed groups is out of the question," explaining that " When these groups find any loophole or weakness somewhere it exploit it  for strikes. "

" foreign agendas is standing behind the ongoing insurgency, which  are witnessed in most of central and southern governorates seeking to foment sedition taking advantage of the volatile political situation in the country.” Caro said
The researchers confirms that religious minorities now are facing a dangerous dilemma that is their exposure to the killing, displacement and abduction by armed groups because of their religious intolerance, attitudes and ideas against these minorities, forcing many of the people of these groups to move to safer areas in Iraq such as Kurdistan, or get out of Iraq and resort to other states.
International reports indicate that ethnic and religious minorities in Iraq face unprecedented degrees of violence and they are threatened with extinction in some cases from home.
