Maliki: Alasa’ib resisted, they did not kill Iraqis and their joining the political process is something positive

Shafaq News/ A close figure to Asa’ib Alhaq (League of the Righteous,) said on Thursday, that members of Alasa’ib resisted the U.S "occupation," and their hands are not stained with the blood of Iraqis, stressing that their joining the political process is one of the positives of the current stage. "participation must be a good thing because the resistance of the occupation is over and these hands are not stained with blood, and it is something natural that people involve in the country's political process, because we are in the next stage should contain all components, whether  they are political or military. " The former mediator between the government and the League of the Righteous Salam al-Maliki said  to  "Shafaq  News"

"Iraq is for all and all have the right to participate." He added.

The Sadrists announced yesterday to "Shafaq  News" that the League of the Righteous  joining the political process will not "save them from punishment," stressing that they will punish them through the judiciary, even if they were in the political process.

The cleric Moqtada al-Sadr have accused the "League of the Righteous" group that decided to lay down arms and engage in the political process of killing politicians and members of the Iraqi army and police, urging Iran to halt support for this group.

The "League of the Righteous" group has emerged, after its abduction of a British expert and four bodyguards, in May of 2007,who were holding  foreign nationalities  from the departments of the Ministry of Finance, located in the area of Palestine Street in eastern Baghdad.
