National Union denies its stipulating Barzani to head the government and confirms that there is no resolution of the Vice Presidencies
Shafaq News /Feryad Raundozi said in an interview with "Shafaq News", "no truth in the reports about the Patriotic Union of Kurdistan stipulating Nijirvan Barzani to head the government. In fact this matter is related to the Democratic Party, and the Strategic Convention.
"The Kurdish media sources said earlier, that the Patriotic Union of Kurdistan committed to hand over the prime minister of the Region post , to his ally the Kurdistan Democratic Party, in condition that Barzani takes the position that is being exchanged every two years to implement the agreement signed between the Patriotic Union of Kurdistan and the Kurdistan Democratic party, and now it is held by the Deputy Secretary-General of the Patriotic Union of Kurdistan, Barham Salih.
"There is some sort of understanding between the two parties to exchange opinions about the selection of ministers and officials in all positions," Raundozi said that, stressing that "everything will be done by agreement between the two parties, and the decision was made on Nijirvan Barzani, with the knowledge of Mam Jalal and Political Bureau of the Democratic Party of Kurdistan the matter was settled once and for all. "
On the subject of vice-presidencies Raundozi added that "The deputy of the prime minister and the presidency of the parliament have not been settled yet, the subject of the three vice-presidencies have not been resolved until now," adding, "We believe that the presidency of the parliament to will be given to Arslan Baez, as he is now Vice President of the Parliament."
The press reports had said earlier that the Patriotic Union of Kurdistan will nominate Fereydoun Abdul Qader to be the next deputy prime minister of regional government, but Abdul Qadir denied the report, stressing that he will not take any public or party office.
