Military Attaché: Iraqi troops are not ready to confront the internal and external dangers
Shafaq News/ The military attaché at the Iraqi Embassy in Amman, said on Sunday, that the Iraqi army is still not ready to face the internal and external threats, stressing that efforts in the framework of building the military are promising.
The military attaché Brigadier General Iyad al-Rubaie said to "Shafaq News", that "The Iraqis are fighters by nature, and we hope to build the army itself, and this construction takes time, because the cause of building the army is not easy, especially in difficult circumstances through which Iraq is living but the steps that are being taken are meaningful and the future will be well. "The Iraqi embassy in Amman, held a special celebration to mark the 91st anniversary of the establishment of the Iraqi army in the cemetery of martyrs of the Iraqi army in the city of Mafraq Jordan, attended by senior military figures Iraqi and Jordanian and Arab military Missions operating in Jordan, in addition to Iraqi officers, retirees and staff of the embassy.
The cemetery which is located in the middle of the city of Mafraq contained the martyrs of the Iraqi army, .Dozens of tombs of the dead were Iraqi soldiers who were killed in the wars in 1948 and 1967 of the last century.
