Shafaq News/ President of the opposition of the change movement in the Parliament of the Kurdistan Region, announced  on Monday, that  a number of Heads of parliamentary committees as well as Chairman of the Integrity Commission had resigned  . Those resignations was announced last month, stressing that the Presidency of the Parliament had promised  to conduct changes  in those  committees and their functions."Many of the heads of parliamentary committees have submitted their resignations, as well as the resignation of Chairman of the Integrity Commission which was announced earlier last month," he said, adding that "the aim of these resignations is to enable Parliament to review the components of the committees and their functions ." Cardo Mohammed, said.

"the presidency of the parliament promised to reform the  committees," adding that "if the changes were positive, our bloc will take over the presidency of a number of these committees." He also explained.

The Parliament of the Kurdistan Region consists of 111 seats distributed on a number of political blocs, the most prominent is Kurdistan bloc including the two parties of the power KDP and the Patriotic Union, which has 53 seats and a number of small parties and the change bloc, which has 25 seats. The  remaining seats are distributed among the blocs of the Islamic Union  and the Islamic Group , Turkmen and Christians in the region.
