Kurdistan: Maliki confided to us about the existence of a conspiracy against him planned by the parties with whom it has become impossible to coexistent
Shafaq News/ Foua’ad Hussein, chief of the office of the President of the Kurdistan Region said in an interview with the Kurdish newspaper Roudao "The Kurds have understood from Prime Minister Nuri al-Maliki in a meeting with some of the delegations
that he is firmly convinced that there are plots planned by some parties to overthrow him and set him up," stressing that "al-Maliki told Kurdish delegation which visited Baghdad, that it became impossible for him to live with these parties. "Hussein said that "al-Maliki doubts led to the conviction of the futility of the principle of political partnership in the Iraqi government," stressing that "This means a decrease by Maliki from the principle of national consensus that was the basis on which the political process in Iraq had been built ."
He noted to "an article published recently by leading figure in Dawa Party, Ali Adeeb, in which he stressed on the formation of majority government and to be out of the political consensus government," adding that "This means that the Dawa Party and Prime minster Maliki are convinced to be out of these propositions."
"If this is what the Dawa party, and Maliki wanted ,they were supposed to address the matter within the parliament not through the media," Hussein said, stressing "The impossibility of issuing the fateful decisions by one person or by one party alone."
This comes at a time of the Kurdistan Region President Massoud Barzani, announcing on Saturday, that the crisis sparked by the issue of Vice President Tariq al-Hashemi have two options to resolve, either to respect the judiciary and invoke it, or that everyone is to seek to reach to a political solution in consensus , otherwise Iraq is to resort to the option of early elections.
