Shafaq News/ Kurdistan Alliance bloc revealed on Saturday, the determination of President Jalal Talabani, to hold  a summit of leaders of political blocs before the  general National Congress, indicating that the purpose of holding this summit is  to identify issues of contention that will be put in the national conference of the year.The President Jalal Talabani met in Sulaymaniyah, on Friday, a delegation from the Iraqia List, headed by its leader, Iyad Allawi, which included House Speaker Osama Najafi and Deputy Prime Minister Saleh al-Mutlaq and Finance Minister Rafie al-Issawi and several other leaders of the list members.The MP the coalition of Kurdish blocs Hassan Jihad said in an interview with " Shafaq  News" that "President Jalal Talabani intensifies his befforts in these days for meeting with leaders of the blocs to hold a summit to them before the National Congress," adding that "the summit will be held in the coming days."

A statement issued by the Office of the Presidency of the Republic, on Friday that President Talabani will hold a summit in Baghdad, "to put the finishing touches to meet anticipated that brings together Iraqi leaders to find a definitive and  comprehensive  solution, of all issues through the National Congress."

Jihad said that "political leaders at the summit will determine what is agreed upon controversial issues for discussion at the general  National Conference, in order that it will not  be a Festival of the conference speeches and political criticism and recrimination

The Iraqi President Jalal Talabani and parliament speaker Osama have agreed,by the end of last year, to convene a national conference of all actors in the Iraqi political arena to defuse the escalating crisis between the parties in the Iraqi political process.
