Sources: Maliki uses Mulla Krekar, and Mosul in a war against the Kurdistan Region
Shafaq News/ The governor of Nineveh, and the former Prince of Ansar al-Islam, revealed on Monday, a "conspiracy" is being planned by the current Iraqi government against the Kurdistan Region.The former Amir of Ansar al-Islam Mullah Krekar said that
"Iraqi Prime Minister Nuri al-Maliki has called me repeatedly to come back to Kurdistan and lead a war against the Kurdish two parties the Kurdistan Democratic party and the Patriotic Union of Kurdistan."The Governor of Nineveh Ethel Najaifi said that a number of Iraqi parties urged the Provincial Council to escalate the conflict with the Kurdistan Region, to the level of "armed confrontation"."This conversation has been detailed and clear," Najaifi said ,stressing that "this matter prompted me to speed up for a meeting with the Kurdistan Region President and briefing him on such endeavors have reached."
On the other hand said the former Amir of the Islamic Kurdish group, Mullah Krekar, "The issue of my returning to the Kurdistan Region has become a political issue," explaining that "each party wants strengthening me for its struggle with the other party."
Krekar, joined the "Muslim Brotherhood" since childhood, and remained a member in the group until the "tragedy of Halabja," happened which he counted as turning point in his march , and his thinking.
In 1988 he founded the "Ansar al-Islam" movement, an Islamic Jihad militant inspired by what happened in Halabja. Krekar, whose group’s sites and camps in Kurdistan of Iraq in 2003 were destroyed by the U.S. troops does not hide the admiration he holds for the Islamic thinker (Sayyid Qutub), and the extent of the influence of his ideas on him .
