The movement of al-Sadr threatens to raise arms against the presence of the CIA in Baghdad

Shafaq News/ Sadrist bloc said on Thursday that the Sadr movement will use the "military resistance" against the U.S. embassy for violating the sovereignty of Iraq by the presence of the U.S. Central Intelligence Agency the (CIA) in it. "The official announcement for the continuation of the work of the (CIA) in Iraq after 2011, is an evidence of non-recognition of the U.S. security agreement which provided for the withdrawal of its forces, whether military or intelligence or security from Iraq by the end of 2011, " The MP of the Sadrist bloc Rafi’e Abdu al-Jabbar said to "Shafaq  News", noting that" the United States proved it did not recognize the sovereignty of Iraq. "A source in the Obama administration announced  in York Times newspaper that the U.S. Central Intelligence Agency is currently active in Iraq and has taken the responsibility to help the security forces of the United States and will be a substitute for it after 2011."Iraq is a country with full sovereignty and America should deal with this state similarly with any country in the region and therefore the Sadrists reject strongly the presence (CIA) in Iraq after 2011." He added .

Under the security pact signed between Baghdad and Washington at the end of November 2008 that it should withdraw all U.S. forces from all territories and waters and airspace of Iraq not later than the 31st  of the current December of 2011,after U.S. combat forces having withdrawn from the cities and villages and towns , in Iraq under the Convention of June 30, 2009.

York Times newspaper recently reported that the U.S. military presence does not exceed 200 people working at the U.S. embassy now.
