Economists attribute the rise in food prices to the case of al-Hashemi and al-Mutlaq and synchronization of "Christmas" and Muharram

Shafaq News/ While political crisis emerging between the blocks, is continuing casting a shadow on the Iraqi scene in all its details, the economic situation has its share of the vulnerability of what is happening. The  economists confirmed that the prices of foodstuffs increased significantly during this period in anticipation of the consequences left by the crisis , while traders pointed out that any emergency food gets exploited for the disposal of their goods and promote them.The citizens confirm that the food such as legumes and vegetables and other basic materials prices have increased since the exacerbated problems between the political blocs.The economist  Maytham Ila’abi said in an interview with "Shafaq  News" "The food prices have risen over the past days because  of the differences occurring between the leaders of the forces, which  has led to higher prices in hard currency as well,"And referred that "there is a factor in the economy is a factor interactions optimism and pessimism and affect the supply and demand for fear of worsening the security and political situation," stressing that "the increased demand for the purpose of storage leads to ignite the prices so the demand becomes more than supply," .

In her turn, economic expert  Salam Sumaisem said in an interview with "Shafaq  News" that "the deterioration of the political situation leads to economic misgivings of the people, but there are religious events that were the basis of the increased demand for food."

Citizens are living through the month of Muharram, in which  the vows of foods are distributed , so the components of vows have high prices. In addition  this event is coincided with the Christmas and New Year's Day.
