Shafaq News/ The Legal Committee of the Parliament of the Kurdistan Region, said Sunday, that the deepening of the differences between the blocks of the opposition and the coalition of power in parliament is due to the events of Bahdinan,
and the possible changes in the presidency of the regional government.The member of the Committee Gorran Azad told "Shafaq News" that "The remainder of the life of the current legislative term of the parliament of Kurdistan is to the thirtieth of December, this is not enough to discuss all aspects of the law of elections the provinces of the region," adding that "the events of the Bahdinan may have deepened the differences between the opposition blocs and the alliance of the authority parties on certain aspects of the law. ""the law No. 3, related to the mayors and their powers and the provincial council and its powers had the first reading in Parliament and the relevant committees met to discuss it," Azad said.
Other factors affecting the delay ratification of the law and the elections, said Azad that "there is also the issue of devolution of power in the Kurdistan Regional Government early next year," explaining that "it is supposed that the Prime Minister to meet with the Electoral Commission for elections to determine the date of conducting it."
