Environment Ministry reveal the chemicals in Karbala and warn visitors of Imam Hussein of the carcinogenicity
Shafaq News/ The Ministry of Environment, revealed Saturday, pollution of the waters of the Husseiniya in the province of Karbala, hazardous chemical materials, warning visitors of the mourning of Imam Hussein from exposure to the material cause of cancer from airborne dirt berms surrounding the river.
The deputy Environment Minister Kamal Hussein said to "Shafaq News", "the province of Karbala, the transfer of large quantities of soil contaminated with chemicals from the site of" Alfath Almubeen"for the purpose of maintenance of River Husseiniya shoulders," noting that "the site was of to military manufacture has people filthy with chemicals from the environment by the Directorate of Karbala. "It is said that on the management aspects of a Husseiniya Karbala decided, earlier, to prevent raising any amount of dirt from the shoulders to the river caused by the process of damage to the environment and agriculture, as well as distortion of the features of rivers, warning contractors and mechanisms of overtaking on the resolution.
Hussein warned, "visitors of the mourning of Imam Hussein pedestrian exposure to airborne dust from the shoulders of Husseiniya River are contaminated with a substance that causes the nickel of cancer."
The Husseiniya River Project in the province of Karbala is one of the important projects owned by the province since the fall of the regime in 2003.
The project comes within the allocations of the Ministry of Water Resources at a cost of 75 billion dinars and will contribute to preserving the waters of the river from the excesses and reduce groundwater of land adjacent to the river.
