A Kurdish MP: Maliki should apologize to the Iraqi people for the victims of explosions of Thursday

Shafaq News /A member of the Human Rights Commission of the Parliament of Kurdistan Region  Ali Hussein Faily said in a statement to "Shafaq  News", that "The Iraqi Prime Minister Nuri al-Maliki is to apologize officially and explicitly to the Iraqi people, especially the families of the victims of terrorist bombings that took place in Baghdad," and he described what happened as "A mankind massacre took place against the background  of the  political escalation that occurred after accusing the Vice President Tariq al-Hashemi of terrorism by the government and the issuance of a warrant arrest against him. ", "What happened today was expected after this dangerous escalation," said he ,adding that "most of the victims of terrorist attacks are innocent people, not from the circles of power.""The government is unable to secure the lives and the stability of citizens and the provision of basic services to them," He added ,noting that "Baghdad the capital of the Iraqi state is counted as one of the worst cities in the world in terms of providing services and security."

"Terrorists are not only the people who exaggerated in the bloodshed  of Iraqis," He said ,adding that "The officials and their supporters in the power are partners in causing  the suffering of the citizens . they have their hands stained with the blood of innocent people which is also another kind of terrorism."

"Huge sums of money that was allocated to strengthen the defense system does not have any impact on the practice," He said ,adding that "This is evident in the large security breaches that took the lives of innocent people, as happened today."

Baghdad has seen, this morning, a series of bombed cars and explosive belts and devices in the areas of Karrada ,Alawi Alshaab , Waziriya, Abu Dshir, Alshu’la and Harthiya neighborhood killing and wounding dozens of civilians. While  the Ministry of Health announced that the outcome of the bombings reached 67 dead and 180 injured, Baghdad Operations Command, confirmed that a number of people had been killed and injured in 12 bombings in the capital, indicating that the most violent bombing was in Karrada.
