Shafaq News/ "The play (Pikas),which is  my last art work  will be presented tonight on the 13 satellite television local channels at the same time," Director Darwish, said noting that it "addresses the biography of the Kurdish famous poet Qadir Pikas in the age of struggle and sacrifice of the Kurdish revolutions, , one of the acts of Artist Qadir Ahmed Salar, who has extensive experience in writing of the play. ""The artist Heavy Aziz will work as assistant director in this theatrical work." He stressed."This play was filmed in a new way, so as the viewers can follow it in the most convenient way," He said ,adding that "a large number of artists in the province of Sulaimaniyah participate in this work, including: Kamran Ra’uf, Omar Dllbeck, Yassin  Qadir Barzanji, Kawa Ahmed Mirza, Burhan Mohamed, Suhaila Hassan, Othman Ashti Danesh, Sheelan Abdullah, Hauri Qadir and other artists. "He said .

He explained that "This work is performed by the Salar theatrical troupe, in collaboration with the Sulaimaniyah troupe and the Ministry of Culture of in the region,"

The poet  Fa’iq Pikas, is counted as one of the senior Kurdish poets and innovators and  he was contemporary of the British occupation which broke  its promises to the Kurdish people and he read a enthusiastic poem before the representative of the British government denounced the injustices suffered by his countrymen. He is  the father of the Kurdish poet Sherko Pikas who served as culture minister in the Kurdistan Regional Government in the nineties of the last century.
