Fact-finding Committee : U.S. troops handed over all of the Saudi detainees to Riyadh without the knowledge of Baghdad

Shafaq News/ The fact-finding Committee on Iraqi detainees in Saudi Arabia announced Sunday, that U.S. forces handed over all Saudi detainees who were under their responsibility to their country without the consent of the Iraqi government.The Vice-Chairman of the Committee Kamilah Musawi  said to "Shafaq News" "Americans have handed over the Saudi detainees who were within  their responsibility to Saudi authorities without the knowledge of the Iraqi side.""All detainees who have been handed over by U.S. forces to Saudi Arabia, were convicted of carrying out terrorist actions against the Iraqi people." She added."The Iraqi government did not intervene in order to preserve its relations with the United States." Said she .The Ministry of Justice announced last week to "Shafaq  News" that the deadline for receiving  the approval of Saudi Arabia for the Convention on the exchange of prisoners ended without Saudi response, to be received by the ministry  whether it is  affirmative or negative. While it confirmed that the number of Iraqi detainees in Saudi Arabia are 200 prisoners sentenced for exceeding the border, it revealed the presence of 100 Saudi detainees in Iraq, most of  whom were governed by issues of "terrorism."

The Saudi authorities have taken a decision in December 19, 2010 to execute 40 Iraqis on charges issued by the Saudi justice and away from the presence of an Iraqi official or the families of the accused as a legal right.
