Shafaq News/ Oil ministry announced, Sunday, on putting the Exxon Mobil between two options, to work in the Kurdistan Region or work in the West Qurna field."Warning messages sent to Exxon Mobil to determine the position to choose either the West Qurna contract or choosing  to contracts with the Kurdistan Region. " The deputy director of the Petroleum Contracts and licensing of the oil of Iraq, Sabah al-Sa’adi said to "Shafaq  News",

"Exxon Mobil awarded time to consider its position and so far it has not taken a final position of the subject." He added.The Iraqi Prime Minister Nuri al-Maliki announced recently that after his return from America, he  told the French news that Exxon Mobil " promised to review its decision" on the oil contracts signed with the Kurdistan Region of Iraq rejected by the Baghdad government.

" Exxon Mobil did not stop working and will continue exploration and extraction in the region, according to a signed contract with them.” The Ministry of Natural Resources in the Kurdistan Region revealed to "Shafaq  News”.

The head of the Kurdistan Regional Government Barham Salih announced, in November 13, 2011,about  the agreement with the central government to raise the region's oil exports to 175 thousand barrels per day.
