Iraq reveals the number of his detainees in Saudi Arabia, and announced that the latter neglected the answer to the government initiative

Shafaq News / Ministry of Justice announced on Saturday that the deadline for receipt of the approval of Saudi Arabia on the Convention on the exchange of prisoners ended without receiving  any response by the ministry, whether affirmative or negative,

while it confirmed that the number of Iraqi detainees in Saudi Arabia is 200 prisoners sentenced for crossing the border, and it revealed that there are 100 Saudi detainees in Iraq, mostly governed by issues of "terrorism.""Iraq ended the draft Convention on the exchange of prisoners with Saudi Arabia and has sent it for final approval, but the Ministry of Justice has not received any reply so far despite the end of the period agreed upon between the two sides in the fifteenth of December.” The spokesman for the Ministry of Justice Haider Al Sa’adi said to "Shafaq  News",The Saudi Interior Ministry announced last November the execution of Iraqis in Ar’ar, located in the northern border with Iraq after he was convicted of killing a Saudi citizen after a dispute between them.The Saudi authorities have taken in the December 19, 2010 a decision to execute 40 Iraqis on charges issued by the Saudi justice away from the presence of an Iraqi official or the families of the accused as a legal right.
