Shafaq News/ Kurdistan Alliance bloc in the Diayala province revealed, Tuesday, for a review of the formation of Diayala Region , in the case of the inclusion of the disputed areas, and  confirmed receiving guarantees from other blocs in the province not to cover those areas. The Diyala provincial council voted, on Monday, by majority of its members to declare the province as an administratively and economically independent Region, with the signing of the majority of Council members to a formal request addressed to the Central Government in this regard.

"The alliance received verbal assurances from the rest of the blocks that have agreed to form a region of Diyala with annexation of the disputed areas to the Kurdistan Region." The member of the Kurdistan Alliance bloc Dalier Hassan in an interview with "Shafaq News"

"The signing of Kurdistan Alliance bloc was conditioned with not including the disputed areas in the announcement of the formation of Diyala Region ," He also said ,adding that "If the Coalition feels  that other parties do not commit their promises and guaranties they will reconsider this matter."
