Shafaq News/ The Iraqi Ministry of Culture, announced Wednesday, the date of disbursement of bonuses for Iraqi journalists and writers and asked to stop sending requests for additions made by the unions, to avoid delays and confusion. " The issue of the grants of journalists and writers have  been decided through its disbursement next Monday on 12.12.2011," The head of the Supreme Committee for the incentive rewards Tahir Al-Hamoud told a news conference attended by the "Shafaq  News", noting that "the amount represents a symbolic support to the journalists group.”"The grant will be spent by one million dinars for the segment of the large numbers of journalists, and a million and two hundred thousand dinars to the rest of the unions," He added ,pointing out that "The next fiscal year 2012 will cover the same amount."Hamoud called to "refrain adding new names to avoid delay and confusion," and expressed the hope that " The grant turns into an entitlement protected and kept by the law ."

He also called those who are included by the grant who have the smart card to go to the banks starting next Monday, and whose who do not have it to go on Sunday, 11.12.2011 for a period of two weeks to get the card.

The payment of the grant may be too late for the scheduled date, as the Ministry of Culture, said that the Iraqi Journalists Syndicate was responsible  for  the  delay in the distribution of bonuses among journalists, writers and artists, accusing the union of indifference on the subject of bonuses.
