Shafaq The artist Majid Shaliar is considered as one of the prominent plastic artists in Khanaqin…

and he is distinct in using sensitive color techniques .We met him in Fine Arts institute in Khanaqin and we had this dialogue :

Q- What is your ID?

- My name is Majid Shaliar and I was born in 1965 in Khanaqin . I finished my high school study in it and then I completed my study in Fine Arts in Baghdad and I held four galleries so far . I am a teacher now in Fine arts institute in Khanaqin .

Q- How do you view the reality of arts in Khanaqin ?

- I think that the difficulties we suffer in life stimulate the  artists strongly to work more and manifest his art and  with all its beauty.

Q- What about the artistic school you follow and the most prominent paintings you drew ?

- I tend a lot to the impressionism and most of my paintings belong to this school . I am proud of all my paintings but the one that attracted people and achieved a wide fame is that in which most of the insane people in the city have been gathered . It is a realistic painting  , by the way I would like to indicate that an artist should assign some of his works for common people.
