Faily Kurds have the right to get their place in the parliament

Shafaq In the last parliamentary elections no Faily Kurdish character reached to the courtyard of the parliament,…

causing resentment and frustration to the Faily Kurdish citizens. To examine the causes that led to this, we met with Mr. Aamir Thamir, the National Alliance member, and we had a dialogue as the following:
Q: What did you bring to the Faily Kurds in the previous parliamentary session?
- Since the fall of the dictatorial regime and the establishment of the National Assembly ,the primarily concern for us was how to remove the grievances suffered by the Faily Kurds which was caused by the former regime. The first thing that has been collected was to stop the fateful decision No. 666 of 1980 and the recovery of Iraqi identity to all those from whom it was dropped, but with small number of representatives of the Faily Kurds in the parliament with this uncertainty and the charged atmosphere in the political arena it was impossible to do more than what had been done.
*How can the Faily Kurds unite their word?
- Faily Kurds should understand that joining other parties will not enable them to get their rights .Instead, they must find the competent collective honest and independent leadership around which they have to stand
Q: What is the cause of the failure of the Faily Kurds to access to the corridors of the parliament in its current session?
- Like the rest of the entities and political rallies Faily Kurds have the right to get their place in the Parliament and exercise their constitutional rights. But we were dispersed or spread over several lists. Furthermore, we have created new lists which had no political experience and they were not close to the pulse of the street.
* High Court issued a decision that regarded crimes committed against the Faily Kurds as a genocide crime. Is this enough to recover the lost rights?
- The resolution alone is not enough but it is necessary to speed up to compensate the victims financially and morally, we are required to form a committee through which we have to contribute in the acceleration of obtaining the material and moral compensations.
