The role of the Faily Kurds in the September revolution

September revolution broke out in 11/9/1961 and continued until the huge international conspiracy …
which resulted in the treacherous Convention on the sixth of March 1975, against our people and the revolution, and since the Faily Kurds are a part of Kurdish people they performed an important role in supporting the revolution politically, economically and culturally.
The region's minister and former leader of the Democratic Party of Kurdistan Yadollah Karim in his talk with Shafaq said "When the September revolution broke out the media situation in the Kurdistan region of Iraq was not in the level required, so the Faily Kurds in Baghdad worked to ensure the information side of the revolution. Thus they founded (Voice of Kurdistan) Radio speaking on the name of the revolution in the area of (Kurda Rush) so it was the first mass media for the revolution established by the Faily Kurds support. "
" When the revolution emerged, its main weight was in the capital Baghdad, which was one of the most important areas inhabited by Faily Kurds .Therefore they contributed in the external and internal communications at the political level of the revolution."
On the military side Yadollah Karim said that "Kurdistani Democratic Party secretary was Faily Kurds representing a leading role in the military side of the revolution in addition of the participation of the masses of students, youth and women who were Peshmerga , the defenders of the revolution outside and inside of the region."
On the economic aspect, Karim said," When the September revolution started, it did not have any material potential in Kurdistan Region, while the Faily Kurds who made up clear weight on the business scene in Iraq ensured a part of the expenses of the revolution. "
For his part the Adviser of the President of Kurdistan Regional Government Dr. Talib Murad said: "Thousands of young Faily Kurds joined the mountains of Kurdistan to participate in the revolution of September, although they did not see the mountains and did not participate in a combat before but they had the firm determination to defend the Kurdish issue".
